CHINA´s ENERGY TRANSITION OUTLOOK
China’s Energy Transition Outlook – what does it mean for the rest of the world?
Last year, China accounted for a third of the world’s energy-related CO2 emissions. But China is also the world leader in renewable technologies and this position will be further strengthened as China’s power mix is expected to go from 30% renewables today to 88% by 2050.
How will that impact the rest of the world and the chances of limiting global warming to below 2ºC? How will it impact global costs and investments in renewables and what role does energy security play in all this?
Director Energy Transition Outlook Sverre Alvik and Project Manager Mahnaz Hadizadeh will share the findings of DNV’s new report “Energy Transition Outlook - China”.
In addition, will Ms. Kelly Chen, Senior Economist in the macro research team at DNB Markets, specialising in the Chinese economy, share the knowledge about "Chinese Energy Transition and Climate Realities".
