A renovation of a 1960s office building in the centre of Oslo. The scope of the project included a new personnel restaurant for the building’s tenants as well as a complete renovation of the public spaces within the building. We were inspired by the buildings existing architecture and tried to create an interior that was coherent with the buildings exterior. We’ve used materials that reflect the time that the building was build but have detailed them in a modern and minimalistic way. The restaurant has been designed to be flexible and is used throughout the day, breakfast meetings in the morning, lunch and lectures in the afternoon, as well as events in the evening.

Nabo is a hand-made lounge chair that is light weight and comfortable. It is made of solid oak with a woven seat made of paper twine. The armrests are just wide enough to place a cup of tea and sturdy enough to support yourself while getting in or out of the chair. The Nabo fits nicely within a home environment or could also be placed in a commercial reception. The back is as carefully considered as the front so that the chair can sit anywhere in the room. The seat is crafted by Adaptor, a company owned by the Norwegian Association for the Blind, which specialises in a traditional technique of weaving by hand. Adaptor has a work shop adjacent to ours, hence the name Nabo meaning ‘Neighbour' in Norwegian. The chair is designed and hand-made in Norway

This office concept for Höegh Eiendom was drawn for their property, Indekshuset, which is a iconic 1960s office building in the centre of Oslo. The design intension was to separate the meeting rooms from the open office with a central coffee/informal meeting/entrance that divides the two. There are also small phone rooms scattered throughout the space to provide private work areas.

This is Intras new Generation kitchen sinks, launched in the spring of 2009. The design program includes different bowl sizes and different sink top modules. They can be combined in a number of different ways in order to make the FRAME product range complete. The attention to details in this project has been very important. Nothing is done without careful consideration and everything you see is necessary. FRAME introduces a new square drain strainer which collects more waste than the traditional round strainer, it also underlines the shape of the sink. Only a few accessories has been designed to go with FRAME and they have been designed to always be visible, either on the sink or on the countertop – they should not be stored away!
With smaller more open landscapes in our work and home, it has become very difficult to find a quiet place to have a moment to yourself. Stille, which directly translates to 'quiet' is a chair that creates a private space within a busy home or office. It creates a room within your room, something that feels cozy and quiet without taking up too much space. The chair sits upon a swivel base so that you can turn your back towards the crowd when you need privacy and then back towards the group when you want to chat. The walls and roof are filled with a special sound insulative foam, similar to the material used in sound studios, that keeps out the buzz of a busy office.
The standard fabric is a wool blend from Gudbrandstalens, a Norwegian company. The Chair is designed and made in Norway.
This is a small series of mixers for the domestic kitchen, developed for Spanish manufacturer Teka. The mixers are intended for most kitchen sinks, however, they are especially developed for Intra’s Frame series.
Tendenser is a new generation building system for apartments and individual houses, developed for city and suburban areas. The main material is wood and the system is based on a combination of on site construction and prefabricated elements that can be combined in different configurations. All integrated products and elements are chosen carefully or are developed especially for Tendenser.
The apartments are open, light and with floor to ceiling windows. All the rooms, except the hallway and bathroom, have 2,6 meter ceilings. All apartments are designed to comply with universal design criteria.
We also produced a design manual which describes Tendenser and how to use it. It also includes Systemhus’ new graphic design programme which was developed in cooperation with graphic design firm Making Waves.
Tendenser has received the Award for Innovation from the Norwegian House Builders Association.

As part of a team, we have developed a new “Metro Standard” for the Oslo Metro (A part of Oslo’s Public Transportation System). This includes general rules for landscape and architectural planning of all stations, as well as development of a series of service- and information components, including benches, light posts and platform shelters.
The project was realized in cooperation with Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter and 13-3 Landskapsarkitekter.
It seems to us that everyone needs more storage where they work and live. Whether you have a family or live alone, have a large or small living space, there is just never enough space to put away your stuff. These were our motivations for creating the Ull & Eik Dining Sofa.
’Ull & Eik', which directly translates to ‘Wool and Oak’, is a combined dining sofa and cabinetry system. The base unit is an 80cm X 60 cm (31,5” X 23,6”) drawer that is fitted with a dining sofa seat in variety of configurations. This is a 'made to order' product, so please contact us regarding pricing information and configuration possibilities.
The Dining Sofa is designed and made in Norway. The drawer fronts, shelves and tables are made of solid oak which can be delivered with an oiled or stained finish. The standard fabric is a wool blend from Gudbrandstalens, a Norwegian company. The seat is filled with a special sandwich of foams which provides a firm yet comfortable seating experience while dining.
It seems to us that everyone needs more storage where they work and live. Whether you have a family or live alone, have a large or small living space, there is just never enough space to put away your stuff. There is also the annoying problem of where to charge your growing number of electronics. Wouldn't it be great if the outlet and the wires could all be hidden, but at the same time perfectly accessible? These were our motivations for creating the Ull & Eik Bed.
’Ull & Eik', which directly translates to ‘Wool and Oak’, is a combined bed and cabinetry system. The base unit is compiled of four drawers which are fitted with a bed frame. The bed frame is attached to an upholstered headboard and solid oak bedside tables. Each bedside table has its own hidden outlet for charging your phone while you sleep and a small drawer for personal items. This is a 'made to order' product, so please contact us regarding pricing information and configuration possibilities.
The beds are designed and made in Norway. The drawer fronts, shelves and tables are made of solid oak which can be delivered with an oiled or stained finish. The standard fabric for the headboard is a wool blend from Gudbrandstalens, a Norwegian company. Please note that the mattress is not included.
A renovation of a 5-story home on the Oslo fjord. Our challenge create a functional home for a young family while softening the hard-edged feeling of the houses modern architecture. Our concept was to use natural elements in the interior palette including wool, leather, wood, stone and sea grass. We reorganized the plan creating larger bathrooms on the top level andan open kitchen that flows into the dining and living areas on the main level. In the lower levels we designed spaces for entertaining including a party room with a pool table wrap around sofa and bar, a cinema room, a kids room, a spa area with a sauna and outdoor areas for dining and lounging. This project was published in Bo Bedre as home of the month, July, 2014.

In this renovation of a row house in an Oslo suburb the initial challenge was to redesign the kitchen and bathroom so that they were larger, more functional spaces. We reorganised the floorpan by removing and repositioning walls, upgraded the house with new materials and surfaces, and we designed key built in pieces like bookshelves in the dining area. In addition to reupholstering and reusing some of the clients exiting furniture we added a few our own furniture pieces including the Ull & Eik dining bench, sofa and puff.

In this renovation of a Oslo Apartment with beautiful exiting classic details our challenge was to reorganise the plan to create more usable spaces. We removed a small bedroom behind the kitchen to make a large open kitchen/dining area. Then we divided one of the large bedrooms into two creating a small tv room and extra bedroom. We also removed all of the walls in the bathroom to create large open space with a classic english bathtub at the centre. We designed some new furniture, like the dining set and the headboard/drawer unit, as well as reupholstering some of the clients existing furniture.
