Capoeira Classes

Come train with us and through the practice of Capoeira, you will learn a new art-form, self-defense, martial arts, acrobatics, music and brazilian culture all while you become stronger and fit in the process.

Martial Arts disguised as a Dance

Capoeira originates in the slave camps of Brazil and through the need to defend themselves while hiding it from their masters, the then slaves hid their training in the dances and songs. This allowed them to become skilled fighters and give them a chance when running for their freedom.

  • Learn Music

The dance aspect of Capoeira is accompanied by music, you'll also learn how to play the instruments: Berimbau, Atabaque, Pandeiro, Reco-Reco, Agogo as well as learn the songs and lyrics which contain a lot of the history of Capoeira.

  • Acrobatics

Capoeira is rich in acrobatic movements, so while learning the dance and martial arts aspects, you will also learn many acrobatic movements to perform in the air or while on the floor no matter your physical condition or age.
