Experience Namdal Bruk

Namdal Bruk is a vast span of land stretching over 500 square kilometers across four municipalities, with beautiful valleys, mountains, rivers, and never ending forests. Here you will find fantastic opportunities for hunting, fishing, hiking, as well as other outdoor activities. Only your imagination will set the limits. The mountains are covered with small birch and pine trees, old and growing slowly in harsh conditions. In the valleys, you will find thick fir forests mixed with rowan and birch trees. All seasons of the year it’s a unique and beautiful Norwegian landscape.

Hunting, fishing & lodging for every season

During the summer the forests and mountains offer great hiking opportunities in one of Norway's most beautiful sceneries. In the many rivers around you will find great places to flyfish or spinning reel fish for trout, arctic char, or salmon.

The autumn gives you the opportunity to hunt in one of the best hunting grounds for birds and elk in all of Norway. 

In the winter a deep layer of snow covers the landscape from December to March. You can cross-country ski or rent scooters and stay at the many cottages that Namdal Bruk has for rent in the area. It’s a unique way of experiencing a proper winter and the marvelous nature of Norway with good chances of seeing the “aurora borealis” also known as the northern lights. 

In the spring the beauty of Norwegian nature comes to life. There are also great opportunities for ice fishing.

Finding Namdal Bruk

Namdal Bruk’s head office is located at Namsskogan Familiepark just off the E6 in Trones. The villages in the area are all close to the E6 and go from Grong in the south, past Harran, Trones, and Brekkvaselv, to Namskogan in the north.
