Congratulations to John Hart and his B.C. comic strip.  I cannot believe how ignorant people are.  I thought people today had more sense, but that is obviously not the case.  Why are people offended?  Why are people so blind?  I think the strip was very appropriate given the day it was run, Easter Sunday, and the message that it contained.

Easter is a Catholic holiday.  It is the center of the Catholic faith.  It is the beginning of the new religion.  Think of it as a renaissance.  Times change.  Jesus was a "radical" Jew.  We see radicals everyday of our lives.  People working on change.  A group of people 2000 years ago decided to split from the ways of Judaism.  Hart's strip clearly depicts his belief. Christianity was born from the Jewish faith.  If you are not educated in religion, then you will not understand.  Take some time and study the two religions.  Most of the Catholic faith is based on much of the Jewish faith.  They share most of the the same "book".  The difference is the Bible of the Catholics carries on with this story of Jesus and what this person stood for. The Jewish faith does not.  Just remember, both believe in ONE GOD, and they apparently are the same.

I am disappointed with newspapers today.  They are afraid to print controversy.  Is not our country built on "free speech"?  Are people really that afraid to hear different views other than their own?  If people want to boycott a paper because of some of its content, then that paper is doing a good job.  It is reporting the news.  Comics are more than just another form of entertainment, they are also an avenue of expression.  Art is an expression of what one feels or believes.  Comic strips are a form of art.  Newspapers also contain political commentary and views of individuals.  Why do you people not boycott papers for that? Commentaries and columns are individual views of a situation or the world.  I do not see the difference between that and a comic strip.

I say to all you people whining out there, "grow up and get educated. Hart's strip is not that bad."
