"EXHIBITION09", group show at the National Museum of Art, Design and Architecture, Oslo, Norway 
An annual juried exhibition producted by the Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts. The exhibition presents the best from all professional groups within crafts, including more conceptual work where idea and content are central. The exhibition presents 77 works by 46 artists.

"balanced-unbalanced", Kunstbanken Hamar 
In the project balanced-unbalanced  the artist Hanne Friis and myself will create individual solo shows from a common thematic starting point. The project will open at Kunstbanken, Hamar in 2010.

CULTEX
textile as a cross-cultural language
The driving force behind CULTEX lies in the dynamic inter-relationship between different cultures, histories and identities. Japan and Norway have both an important historic and a growing contemporary relationship, established initially through trade and developed through cultural exchange. Textile artists from Japan and Norway will, in the exhibition project CULTEX, explore and strengthen knowledge about their respective textile cultural inheritance. The objective is to develop a unique exhibition of new work and at the same time reinforce strengthen the ties between two geographically distanced countries with deep textile traditions. CULTEX aims to bring the cultures and craft traditions of the two countries together to create a new and common ”language”, where textile techniques and media are cross-cultural communication tools.

Group show organised by Drammen Kunstforening, in Lychepaviljongen, Drammens Museum, with Dag Erik Leversby, Frank Brunner, Esther Maria Bjørneboe, Josephine Lindstrøm and Anniken Amundsen. I showed the installation "Mutation" consisting of 7 human-scale sculptures.

Through the Surface
Through the Surface is an exhibition of collaboration, process and outcome, featuring 14 of the most innovative textile artists in Britain and Japan. Their work spans fashion, art and science, and the resulting work will form a unique and exciting exhibition that will tour the UK in 2004 and Japan in 2005.

Through the Surface explores points of difference and similarity within the cultures of Japan and Britain. The real exchange of ideas, techniques and an understanding of cultural and personal sensibilities as they relate to working practice can best be achieved through close collaboration resulting in a practical outcome.

Young textile artists will travel and work with established artists in their opposite country, exchange of ideas and techniques and explore how this can impact on future practice. These placements will be nationwide in Britain and in the Kansai and Gunma regions of Japan, with 7 partnerships in total. The emerging artists will stay between 10 and 12 weeks and then return to their own country. All the artists will then make work as a result of the exchange, some of the work will be collaborative and artists will make their work separately, however, close contact between partners will be maintained through the internet.

This project is based in collaboration - between textile artists who are at different stages of career development, between architect/designers and practitioners, and between educational and arts organizations in both countries. Key areas of collaboration have been identified as:

• links between textiles, science and technology;
• the impact of new materials and processes on the re-evaluation of traditional practice;
• textiles as architectural intervention;
• the use of materials that act as interface between interior design and fashion.

A solo show in Tromsø Kunstforening in the far north of Norway from October to November 2004. The show features recent and new work, including an extended version of the installation "Mutation".

"Invaders", Hå gamle prestegård, 2003
The exhibition "Invaders" was shown from August to September 2003. The gallery is an old vicarage converted into an art centre in stunning and raw natural surroundings near Stavanger on the south west coast of Norway.

"Invaders" was first shown at Maidstone Library Gallery, England in 2001, and in an extended version at Hå Gamle Prestegård in 2003.

The group show "Artists at Work: New Technology in Textile and Fiber Art" took place at Museo del Tessuto, Prato, Italy in 18 September - 30 November 2003.

The exhibition "Material Spaces", curated by Jac Scott, was shown at Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery, Carlisle, to co-incide with the launch of Scott's book "Textile Perspectives in Mixed-Media Sculpture".
